Our new pepper packaging facilities are now a reality, and our melon and watermelon warehouse looks like this. Today, after four days of audits, we can say that we’ve renewed our BRC, GLOBALGAP, GRASP, and CHAIN OF CUSTODY certifications once again. We did it with flying colors, moving from BRC Type B to Type A (the highest available). This wouldn’t have been possible without our wonderful team: Esther, Virginia, Loli, Alicia, Saida, our consultants Veronica, M. Angeles, and all the warehouse staff, who worked incredibly hard, working against the clock to ensure everything was in perfect working order. When someone congratulates you on the team you have, it truly makes you feel proud. I wouldn’t want to forget José, our auditor. He’s straightforward, sensible, and approachable, always trying to make us see what’s best for our company and pushing us where we need him most so we don’t let our guard down. It’s a real pleasure learning from you about this complicated world of food safety.
